As the Slide Show gives an overview of the trials and tribulations of the Coggans and Harraps, the key scenes allow the user a closer look at the lives of the main characters. Taken from the Yorkshire Television series How We Used to Live: Early and Late Victorians, these videos highlight important facets of life in Britain in 1845, from the dangers of digging a railway tunnel to rats being found in the drinking water. The key scenes can be accessed either through the Biography or the Investigating History sections of the disc, and raise a number of important issues concerning Victorian Britain.
