This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

The complete !Chopper package consistes of four separate programs, two
Acorn applications !Chopper and !Joiner and two DOS programs SPLIT.EXE
and SPLICE.EXE. Thses programs must not be distributed spearately or
without this file except where !Joiner or SPLICE.EXE are placed on a set
of discs containing a previousely split file by a REGISTERED user of the
!Chopper package. All references to !Choppper may therefore apply either
to the individual program or the complete package according to context.
The !Chopper package performs a very simple task - it chops up large
files on a hard disc into chunks big enough to fit onto a floppy, and
can then join the chunks back together again. The main idea of this is
to let you transfer large files between computers, including
transferring big files between Acorn Archimedes computers and PCs.
It is also ideal for PD Libraries, etc. to use for distribution of large
files (Acorn Replay movies etc.) since the !Joiner application can be
distributed by a registered user with the split files, although there
are some restrictions and further licence conditions for commercial use.
The Chopper package is released as Shareware, NOT Public Domain, and
distribution and use is subject to the condidtions in the !Help file in
the application directory.
