Some ideas for classroom activities with Navigator -------------------------------------------------- Design a plan of the classroom using Draw (or ask the students to do it!) and use the 'turtling' facility to find and travel to various places. Develop the idea by using a plan of the school. Move around using compass points and co-ordinates. Using a scanned or drawn picture of a local street, use the turtle or banding options to trace journys to school. Develop this idea to include local Ordnance Survey maps, looking at the area and using co-ordinates and bearings. Taking the idea one step further could include work on planning school journeys and mapwork based on contrasting locations and the study of other countries. Colin Rouse
