This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

MouseOpt
Have ever wondered what you would do if your mouse just gave up and you had
an ipmortant document to finish. The only way you could load your
Wordproccessor or DTP is via the Desktop.
Help is at hand with MouseOpt, this utility takes over from the mouse and
uses the keys of the keyboard. So using the Desktop is not a problem.
Loading
1. There are two ways of loading this application, the first is if your
mouse is working just select the MouseOpt icon as normal.
2. The second way of loading is by a star command, when in Desktop mode just
press F12 and then type in the name MouseOpt. This will load the application
and you are ready to go, just press return twice which will bring you back
to the Desktop.
Using MouseOpt
Once the program is on the icon bar, press the middle button of your mouse
and select (mouse on). This will then set up the keyboard to be used just
like a mouse. If you select mouse off this then exits the keyborad
operation.
If you mouse is not working just load as normal (See Loading 2.). To kill
the program off just do a hard reset.
Keys Movement and Actions
Every movement, button press is done via the "Alt Key".
Keys are as follows
ALT+ Arrow Up = Moves Pointer Upwards
ALT+ Arrow Down = Moves Pointer Downwards
ALT+ Arrow Left = Moves Pointer Left
ALT+ Arrow Right = Moves Pointer Right
Action Keys

ALT+ Home = Menu
ALT+ PageUp = Adjust
I hope you find this usefull, as I did when my mouse gave up the ghost.
Make sure you transfer this program to a blank formatted disk, then loading
will become easier should your mouse fail.
