This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

This application is a desktop address book.
How to use !AddBook
1) Install it by double clicking on its icon.
2) Click on the book icon to display main window.
3) To browse through existing entries, click on the left and right arrows surrounding the record number, or click on this number to jump directly to a record.
4) To search for an entry, type a search string in the search dialogue box, and either press return or select a search direction arrow. These arrows may also be used to find additional entries containing the search string.
5) To print a record, click on the print icon.
6) To delete a record, click on the Delete icon - the other records will automatically be moved to fill the resultant gap.
7) To add a record, click on the Add Record icon - the new record will be jumped to automatically, and it will be filled with *'s to start with, but may be edited or deleted using ^U (press CTRL and U keys together).
8) To save the records, click on the Save icon. The records will be saved as 'data' within the !AddBook directory.
9) To reload records, click on the Load icon.
10) To edit a record, display the record by typing its number, or using the arrows, then edit the entry as in all dialogue boxes. When the entry is correct, click on the Store icon to store it in memory.
