!AWOct91/Goodies/FiveAlive/!ReadMe1st
This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

The programs in this folder illustrate the Five Alive article by Jonathan Evans. Please note that the program SEARCH reads the file WORDS and the program WFCOUNT reads the file WORDS. The text files must therefore be in the currently selected directory for the programs to work. This can be selected using the *DIR command. For example, if you have the FiveAlive folder at the top level of a floppy disc drive, then press <f12> (if in the Desktop) and type *DIR :0.FiveAlive. Either program can now be run by double clicking from the Desktop.
