Utilities/!WimpAid/!Help
This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

Wimp Monitor Utility by Graham Crow This program allows the user to obtain information about the pointer, or about the window or icon that it is over. When run, the program adds its icon to the icon bar. Clicking Menu over this icon displays a menu containing seven entries. Info and Quit have the usual functions. Choosing Pointer opens a window displaying the pointer x and y co-ordinates, the button state, and the handles of the window and icon under the pointer (-1 if none). Choosing Window or Icon opens a window displaying information on the window or icon under the pointer. Choosing SWI Index opens a window displaying the page number in the Programmer's Reference Manual on which each Wimp SWI is described. Pause toggles the monitoring on and off; the icon bar icon turns grey when the program is paused.
