This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

The PinFix module may not be needed on your computer, you don't need it if you use an alternative backdrop application or if you don't use pinboard. To test whether the PinFix module is need on your computer: 1) Load !CloseUtil 2) Press F12, type RMKill PinFix 3) Press Return twice. 4) Click select on the Apps icon. 5) Press menu over the close icon of the Apps filer window and select titleise, the window should be reduced to just a title bar. 6) Click select on the Apps icon again. 7) Close the Apps filer window. If the titleised version of the Apps filer window is still on the screen, you need to use the PinFix module. What Pinfix Does. ----------------- Every time a window is closed, RISC-OS broadcasts a message to all active tasks to tell them this has happened. Pinboard uses this to remove an iconised version of the window, if there is one. The problem is, when Pinboard is loaded, it prevents any other application from receiving the message. PinFix installs a filter on the Pinboard task that detects the message and re-broadcasts it so other applications can use it.
