Installation ============ !Warfare may be installed on a hard disc simply by copying it into the desired directory in the normal RISC OS manner. What is !Warfare? ================== Warfare is a game of combat between two players How to start a game =================== After the loading screen has been replaced by the high scores, press any key to start a game. Playing ======= Play alternates between players, who must use the mouse to set both the angle and power of a shot. When these are set at the desired positions the shot is fired. The difficult part of the game is that the planets on the screen exert gravity and can bend and twist a shot. Controls ======== | | | | ----------------- | | | --- --- --- | FIRE --------| | | | | |-------- More power | | | | | | | | | --- --- --- | ( power indicator | | | at top of screen ) | | | | | | | --------------- Less power | | | | | | ----------------- Moving the mouse pointer around the ship sets the angle of the shot which is indicated by a small cross. Scoring ======= The longer a shot lasts (bending around planets, etc.) the more points are awarded for it (shown at the foot of the screen). If a high enough score is acheived then a place on the high score table will be awarded. Note: if a player hits him/herself then the points are awarded to the other player. � Archimedes World 1994
