This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.

Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

hd1:Fill in this field with the title of your score. This title will be printed in double height characters at the top of the score.
hd3:Fill in this field with the name of the movement or any other text which you want printed at the top left of the score.
hd5:Fill in this field with the name of the composer or any other text which you want printed at the top right of the score.

sh0:Click SELECT or ADJUST to increase or decrease the number of lines or spaces by which you want to shift each note.|MPositive values shift up, negative values shift down.

tp0:Click SELECT or ADJUST to increase or decrease the number of semitones by which you want to transpose each note.|MPositive values transpose up, negative values transpose down.

tr0:Click on the various fields in this icon to construct the type of trill that you want. Only the black notes are played. Use the flat and sharp signs to set the upper and lower intervals.
tr12:Click SELECT or ADJUST to increase or decrease the speed of the trill in notes per (crotchet) beat.
tr20:Click SELECT or ADJUST to increase or decrease the length of staccato notes.
tr23:Click SELECT or ADJUST to increase or decrease the length of marcato notes.

st0:Fill in this field with the name of the stave (eg the instrument name).
st1:Click SELECT or ADJUST to increase or decrease the MIDI port number (1-4).|MNote that this facility is only available if suitable hardware is fitted.
st2:Click SELECT or ADJUST to increase or decrease the MIDI channel number assigned to this stave. (range 1-16)
st3:Click SELECT or ADJUST to increase or decrease the MIDI program number which is sent to your MIDI instrument whenever this stave is played. (range 1-128 or '-')
st4:Click SELECT or ADJUST to increase or decrease the interval (in semitones) by which this stave is transposed when played.

st7:Click SELECT on this icon to set the Archimedes stereo sound position.|MNB this has no effect on the MIDI output.
st9:Click SELECT or ADJUST on this icon to cycle set the overall loudness of this stave.

st11:Click SELECT or ADJUST on this icon to set the stave to percussion or normal.|MNB this affects only the screen, not the way the stave is played.

ts0:Click SELECT on this icon and all notes will be transcribed with their tails UP.
ts1:Click SELECT on this icon and notes will be transcribed with their tails UP OR DOWN according to their position on the stave.
ts2:Click SELECT on this icon and all notes will be transcribed with their tails DOWN.
ts3:Click SELECT on this icon to transcribe to a minimum note length of a DEMI-SEMIQUAVER.
ts4:Click SELECT on this icon to transcribe to a minimum note length of a SEMIQUAVER.
