This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

ImageBank Demonstration By Irlam Instruments ImageBank is a commercial application which enables you to store collections of sprites on disc in a special compressed format, called JPEG. This demo version allows you to read JPEG files, and contains three example 24-bit sprites, scanned using Irlam Instruments' new Logitech hand scanner. The full version also allows you to write sprites to disc in JPEG frmat. To see the examples, run the ImageBank application and click on the iconbar icon with Select. A window will appear showing scaled versions of the example sprites: they look best in a 256-colour mode, and even beter in graphics card modes. Double-click on any of the pictures to show them at full size, and use the menu to save them to disc as uncompressed sprites. More information can be obtained from the help file for the application, which can be loaded by clicking Menu over the ImageBank icon, and choosing the Help option from the App submenu.
