This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

!FontMsgs ��������� By D. Salt Requires RISC OS 3 Sick of the system taking its time when scanning font directories? Here's a simple solution... 1. Run !FontMsgs if it isn't already loaded. 2. Drag your fonts directory (eg. !Fonts) to the FontMsgs icon. FontMsgs will scan the directory. If there is already a messages file, this will also be read in order to inform you of fonts added to or removed from this directory. 3. Select the default font from each family, and edit its displayed name, eg. you could make 'Homerton.Medium' appear as 'Helvetica.Medium'. 4. Save the list. This is ALWAYS to the font directory last seen by FontMsgs (hence no save box). Newly-included fonts are shown on a cream background. Removed fonts are shown in a separate window. To open the font list window, click SELECT on the FontMsgs icon. To open the deleted list window, click ADJUST. If there are no fonts listed in either window, that window will not be opened. Read the licence agreement!
