This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

"Coarsesht" is a drawfile of a cricket score card. It is intended for use by the scratch sides got up by the staff of companies, offices and schools to play evening games against similar teams. Such teams often have no scorebook, having lost it or not being able to afford to buy one. They are often reduced to looking for empty pages in ancient score books which are falling apart, or keeping score on photocopied pages of score books or blank sheets of paper. These games usually last for 20 overs and it is frequently the case that batsmen are forced to retire when passing 25 or 30 runs and that every team member apart from the wicketkeeper has to bowl two overs. Coventional scoresheets do not allow for this number of bowlers and allow far too much dpace for the runs of individual batsmen. Given the occasional nature of such bowlers and their lack of practice even if they have some ability, the number of wides and no balls delivered in an over is often too many to fit into the space provided on commercially printed scoresheets or score books. This design tries to allow for the above special features of coarse cricket. It can be edited to include the name of the team using it and an ironic motto or logo if the team has one. The logo included is one which is meant to be in keeping with the low sun which often causes problems in these evening games. The staff team for which I play has the motto "To lose is to taste eternity", printed in a suitably medieval font and with the logo being a picture of the Grim Reaper. It all adds to the fun of coarse cricket! Jeff Davies 39 Overbury Close Northfield Birmingham B31 2HD
