Simple Control
The interactive control program.
Release v1.0
Simple Control is the exciting new program designed to introduce control
and LOGO style programming. Simple Controls' four programs centre around a
simulated electronic control box, which is similar in operation and style to
conventional control boxes used in schools.
This simulated control box enables the pupil to learn about control without
the practical problems associated with an actual control box.
Simple Control is unique in that it combines a tutorial with embeded code
boxes for pupils to type in LOGO style commands, they can see the result of
these commands immediately in the simulated control box window.
Simple Control can be used with children who have no prior knowledge of
control.
Simple Control contains four programs -
Direct Control - Point and click control with inputs, outputs and control
box windows.
Computer Control - Introduces programming the computer with LOGO style
commands which interact with the simulated control box.
Buggy - The control box is used to control a simulated buggy.
Control Simulations - Several examples of control systems.
Disk based worksheets are included.

Simple Circuits (software package)

Simple Circuits is the essential package for understanding electricity and
simple electric circuits at key stage 2 & 3(science and d&t) of the national curriculum.
Simple Circuits offers both a software and practical approach to making
circuits.
Designed for use on the acorn range of computers. Running under the desktop
environment, means it takes advantage of risc os style menus and windows.
In the classroom
Simple Circuits is a derivative of the popular Camboard teaching sets, which are widely used in schools. Questions covering various aspects of the
circuits are posed. Each answer is graded with a mark. A hard copy is
available showing name, question and answer.
A full component hardware package is included. Circuits are powered at a
safe 6 volts by batteries (not included).
Simple Circuits covers these topics - component symbols, lighting a bulb,
the switch, bulbs in series & parallel, resistance effects, controlling a
motor & buzzer, along with a guide to electricity and batteries.
Simple to learn
The easy to use video recorder style controls make moving around the program a dodle.
Realistic on screen circuits enable children to construct these, on their
own circuit board.
Complete package
Simple Circuits is complete with software, user guide, plastic circuit
board, bulbs, switches, motor, resistors, buzzer, battery holder
(requires 4 AA cell batteries) and connecting wire.

Camboard Technology have produced a package for learning about Logic gates
and digital counters for the Acorn & PC platform.
Logic Gates & Counters removes the need for schools to purchase expensive
hardware solely for the provision of teaching basic logic gates and counting systems. These days this is an important consideration.
Logic Gates & Counters includes three powerful applications -
Logic Gates
Introduces the main logic gates, with on screen user enabled simulations of
each gate.
Simulations mimic actual hardware by using switches and l.e.d's.
The Camboard approach enhances this by including dynamic binary logic status values, so the user can see a visual representation of the logic level by
way of a simulated l.e.d and its boolean property.
Each logic gate has a dedicated text screen with questions to answer, these
are marked on screen.
Counters
The main 4 bit counter system is described incorporating a similar graphical approach to Logic Gates. The application starts with the 4 bit counter and
leads on to hexadecimal counters.
Simulate
Driven from the bar menu's, Simulate combines solely the logic gates and
three digital counters from the main applications, this allows all gates and counters to be used together on screen.
