This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.

Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

pattern12: \Sproduce a 'reversed' analysis of the completed picture.|MThis is the correct option for an EasyKnit pattern, ie the picture is mirrored as if seen from behind.
pattern13: \Sproduce an exact replica analysis of the picture.|MThis can be used if for example you want to plant different coloured bulbs to create decorative display in your garden. The picture produced is 'the right way round'.
pattern14: \Sconfirm the values in all of the icons as correct.
pattern15: \Scancel any changes you have made and restore the previously held values.
pattern: Fill in the relvant information then click \s on the OK button to confirm.

tbardisp: This displays the row and stitch coordinates under the pointer when it is in the Edit \w.

zoom: Click on the adjuster arrows or type in a figure then press RETURN to alter the scale at which the edit \w is viewed.

save: Type a suitable name into the box then Drag the file icon to a directory viewer to save the file.|MIf you have already done so once then clickng on Save with \s or pressing RETURN will perform the save for you.

pic16: This range of colours are the only ones available if you are operating in a 16 colour screen mode.|MClick \s on your desired colour to add it to the selection of colours available for use in the Edit \w.
pic17: This range of colours can be used in 256 colour screen modes.|MClick \s on your desired colour to alter the current colour.

colcreate2: \Sopen the colour picker \w and alter the currently selected colour in the group above by \sING a replacement.
colcreate3: Enter the name you wish to appear in the textual pattern to represent the currently selected colour in the group above.|MNOTE this can be changed at any time before saving the text and can be up to 12 characters long.
colcreate: This is the edit colour \w.|M\Smake the colour under the pointer the currently selected colour (it will have a tick beside it).|MAny editing operation (eg name or colour change), will be applied to this colour.

print0/print12: \TPrint control area. Tick the options you require to be included in the printout.|MThe Picture and/or Invert sprite options are greyed out unless there is a suitable Picture file present.

print1: \Tscale area.|MSet the scale at which to create the printout.
print2: Tick this option to include the grid lines in the printout.|MUntick to ignore the grid lines when printing.|MLarge grids printed at small scales with gridlines may loose readability due to too much ink. Increase the scale to improve.
print3: Tick this option to include the picture file in the printout.|MUntick to ignore the picture file when printing.|MIf stitches are included then the picture will appear behind any blank stitches.
print4: Tick this option to include the coloured grid stitches in the printout.|MUntick to ignore filled stitches when printing.

print7: Enter a number to alter the scale at which the printout of the grid is created.|M100% is actual size, 50% is half size, 200% is double size etc.|MYou can enlarge small grids or reduce large ones.
print8: Clicking on this button will calculate and set the scale factor required to ensure the printout will fill one page.

print10: This pannel shows how many sheets of paper will be required to print out your grid at the chosen scale.|MA slight reduction in scale may significantly reduce the number of tiles produced.
print11: Clicking on the Print button OR pressing the Return key starts the printing process using the print options set above.
print13: The name of the currently active printer driver is shown in this pannel.

rulermenu: Choose a colour from the list to use for the background colour of the ruler area.

dmenu1: \Ropen the Mode sub-menu.|MThe ticked option tells the program what type of EasyKnit file you want to generate or is currently loaded.

maskmenu0: When ticked, the masking effect is switched off and all masked sitiches are visible.|MWhen unticked, the masking effect is switched on and all masked sitiches are invisible.
maskmenu1: Choose this option to remove any mask which has been applied to parts of the grid.
maskmenu2: Choose this option to apply a mask to all the stitches in the grid except those of the current colour as selected in the Colour Picker \w.
maskmenu3: Choose this option to apply a mask to all stitches in the grid which are set to the current colour and remove the mask from all the others.
