F/CLICK2

This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.

Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

ROM's 1,14 and 15 are killed because I find that they tend to interfere
with *WORD. ROM R6 is actually a 8 single ROM128 with RAMUTIL selected,
and ROM's 4 and 5 is a ROM256 cartridge with four pairs of ROM's with
*WORD and STARSTORE II selected. Now the beauty of this facility is
that, say I take the arrow to ROM 6 and press RETURN, then RAMUTIL will
be killed. Press RETURN again and RAMUTIL will be OFF; press BREAK and
RAMUTIL will be re-initialised. Any ROM's left KILLED will always
remain killed on every power up of the computer because CLICK's BBRAM
has remembered that they should be killed. Again clever and avoids me
getting into *WORD and not killing ROM's beforehand. Needless to say I
am careful not to kill CLICK itself, but surely Andrew Hilbig must have
covered this eventuality - or did he?

I find CLICK isoneofthe mostuseful ADDONS and I hope this little
insight is interesting to members. The manual runs to 67 foolscap
pages. I have a terrible memory nowadays and a beep for a reminder at
2330 (when I am most likely to be at the computer or one of the others)
is most welcome. If the computer is not switched on for a particular
event then CLICK will remember to beep at the next power up.
