FROM: HEAD OFFICE TO: ALL STAFF (over 25) DATE: 31 DECEMBER 1998 SUBJECT: EARLY RETIREMENT Due to the current financial situation and probable future mergers, management has decided to implement a new scheme to put all staff over the age of 25 on early retirement. This sceme will be known as RAPE (Retire Ageing Personnel Early). Persons selected to be RAPEd can apply to management for the SHAFT scheme (Special Help After Forced Termination). The situation of staff who have been RAPEd and SHAFTed will be reviewed under the SCREW scheme (SCheme for Retired Early Workers). Staff may be RAPEd only once. SHAFTed twice, but SCREWed as many times as management deems appropriate. Staff who have been RAPEd can apply to get AIDS (Additional Income for Dependants and Spouse). or HERPES (Half Earnings or Retiring Personnel Early Severance). Obviously staff who have AIDS or HERPES will not be SHAFTed or SCREWed any further by management. Staff members staying on will receive SHIT (Special High Intensity Training). Management has always prided itself on the amount of SHIT it gives staff. Should you feel that you do not receive enough SHIT please bring this to the attention of your department head. He/she has been trained to give you all the SHIT you can handle.
