Eek! There appears to be a problem with the Sheepwell reactor - it keeps
going critical and in hot weather melts down. You play the role of
"Chin-up" Bill in his Laserdrive - the only man who can stop potential
catastrophe by firing a laser bolt directly into the heart of the reactor
thus causing a controlled(!) destruction of the whole plant.
Of course it's not as easy as that as the reactor is protected by
concrete blocks - some immoveable, others you can destroy with your laser.
You'll have to deflect the laser round the blocks by strategic placing of
mirrors which are not only portable but rotateable.
Naturally, as there is no threat to life around reactors you will find an
abundance of sheep which for some unconnected reason glow phosphorescent
green when the reactor begins to go critical. As the heat and radiation
builds the sheep then turn day-glo pink and grow two heads - probably due
to the nitrogen in the soil or excessive high spirits. This indicates
imminent meltdown so you'd better hurry or that's mutton off the menu for
a few weeks!
If you fail to destroy the reactor in time it obliges by self-destructing
but takes you with it. Don't worry if your hair falls out and your gums
turn blue, it just reflects a poor northern diet. However, if you can
destroy it, the authorities then sneak away and build an even more
ingeniously protected reactor just as reassuringly safe as the last one.
So once again you take your half-life in your hands to save the planet
from a disaster totally unlikely to occur; or if it does one you'll never
hear about anyway!

Notes:
LASERFIRE
You cannot fire the laser from "dangerzones" which are depicted by the
familiar radio activity symbols (grey squares).
You cannot fire if you are positioned over a mirror or sheep either.
If you have moved onto a dangerzone when laserfire hits the reactor
you will be obliterated too. You cannot destroy the dark grey blocks
but you can blast away the blue 'uns! (Which then turn into dangerzones)
MIRRORS
By placing mirrors you can delect the laser - especially helpful as you
can place the mirrors where you could not normally fire from like
dangerzones or between blocks. Be careful only to strike the mirror's
reflective side or else it will be destroyed - you will need them all
(I think!). Mirrors can be rotated either when picked up or if you are
just positioned over one. I don't think you can put a mirror over a
stunned sheep - see below for details!
SHEEP
The sheep are, let's face it, a damn nuisance and keep getting in your way.
You can shoot the sheep but for some unaccountable reason the laser only
stuns 'em rendering them immobile for a while. Owing to natural evolution
the sheep soon recuperate and serve as indicators to the reactor status.
WARNING
After this game you may perhaps develop an irrational hatred of all things
woollen or grow two heads. However this is nothing to worry about since
eating radioactive lamb cuts down on lighting bills as you will be able
to see it glowing in the dark and therefore save dwindling fuel resources.
Having two heads may also make you think twice about "safe" nuclear fuels.

Now then, where was I? Oh yes, just white-washing the windows and taking
the doors off their hinges.....
