Fervour/!SerialJoy/SerialJoy/!ReadMe/ReadMe

This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.

Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

Dear SerialPort / Vertical Twist / Leading edge interface owner,

If you have version 2.00 or later of the interface then it will work
with Fervour without any problems. Simply load the module supplied on
the interface disc.

If you have a version before version 2.00 then you will need to run
the module 'SerialFix' found in this directory. After this you will
need to load the joystick module supplied with the interface and set
it up so that the keys it uses are the ones used in the game.
Default: Z - Left
         X - Right
         ' - Speed up
         / - Slow down
    Return - Jump
You may then use your interface but note you must play fervour in the
keyboard mode as versions of the software less than 2.00 emulate the
keyboard and do not supply routines to read the joystick. You could
always upgrade to the latest verion by getting in touch with The
Leading Edge.
