F/+Hntxt1

This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.

Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

This is the first part of the hints which were sent by John Crane last
time but which had to be left out because of lack of space.

I am publishing these in good faith. The copywrite has been claimed by
Acorn but since they do not appear to have any interest in 8 bit machines
any more and these hints would normally be unavailable to users of 8 bit
machines I am publishing them here.

I have edited them in so much as I have removed the beginning section
claiming copywrite except from the first part.

These hints are rather long but interesting none the less.

I made a mistake when I described how to split an extra large View file
last time.

The proper procedure is:

Enter View.

Type: EDIT Lgfile xyz <RET>

When the cursor returns type: SAVE Smfile1 <RET>

Type: MORE <RET>

Type: SAVE Smfile2 <RET>

Continue doing this until the message reads INPUT FILE EMPTY
