ABOUT THIS GAME...

Bandit is a fruit machine simulation for 1 to 5 players, each one being
able to stop and save their game at any time. All the usual features are
provided plus one or two others, all of which are documented below.
The instructions are also included within the game.

*** INSTRUCTIONS ***

GENERAL...
All wins are calculated on the centre win line only and take presidence over all other features. This means that even if you only get a 10P win:-
No feature numbers on the win line will be added.

No X2/3/4 features will be activated.

No nudges will be given.

You can still get a hold though, even after the highest win possible.
If you wish to stop playing and collect your winnings, click on the L.E.D bank window and your money and hi-score will be saved to disk. Please ensure your disk is not write protected. You will then be returned to the title page where you can switch off or hand over to another player.
The current players hi-score is shown on the title page and on the game screen.
If you wish to adjust the volume, click on the arrows at the top of the game screen.
If by some miscalculation you happen to run out of money, the bank window will read 'no-cash' It is at this point that pressing the mouse button will take you back to the title page, where you will be given another �2.00 to try again.

HOLDS...

All holds are given randomly even after a win. This is shown by all five buttons on the bottom of the display, flashing. If at any time you hold the wrong reel, or you change your mind, clicking on [CANCEL] will deactivate all currently held reels and allow you to reselect. Any reel that is currently held will be shown by its button being continueously lit.

NUDGES...

All nudges are given randomly except after:-

A win.

Any feature numbers being added.

Any X2/3/4 being activated.

A nudge is shown by the hold/nudge buttons being continueously lit. The amount of nudges is shown above the flashing 'NUDGE NOW'. To nudge a reel, click on its hold/nudge button.
All reels will nudge down one symbol at a time untill, you run out of nudges or a winning combination is reached. When nudging the x2/3/4 and feature numbers are ignored.

When the feature nudge symbol is lit, you are then trying to get the embossed feature numbers to finish up on the winning line when all your nudges are gone. These will then be added to the feature total.
MAIN FEATURE...

The embossed numbers on the symbols will be added to the feature when they land on the win line except after:-

A win.

Any X2/3/4 being activated.

When the feature reaches 20, a random number between 1 and 9 will be picked and the higher & lower buttons will flash. Click on the relivant button if you think the next number will be higher or lower. If the next number is the same, you still win! You get �1.50 at the start and 50P for every correct guess, up to a maximum of �10.00.
X2/3/4 FEATURE...

The X2/3/4 feature is activated when one of the symbols fall on the winning line and will remain active until the next win. This does not include the hi-lo feature but will work on nudged wins. When a win is achieved it will be increased by either 2, 3 or 4 times. If more than one X2/3/4 symbol appears on the winning line, the first one (from the left) will take presidence.
PLAYER MENU...

To change player, click on the [SELECT PLAYER] box then just click on the name of the player you wish to change to. The currently selected player is shown by the yellow out line. To enter a new player, click on the [NEW PLAYER] box and click on the player you wish to replace. You will then be invited to type in the new players name, pressing return when done. When you have made your selections clicking on the [EXIT] box will take you back to the title screen.
