!Extras/!Help

This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.

Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

C Tutorial
by David Matthewman

The C directory in this archive contains three programs associated with the C Tutorial in the magazine. Characters demonstrates the escape sequences available in character variables. Signed determines whether char variables are signed or unsigned by default. HofLords assigns values to variables.

Education Resource Files
by John Woolard and Colin Rouse

These two files link into two articles in this month's magazine.

Multimedia describes the contact details for products mentioned in the article 'Multimedia in the Classroom' by John Woolard, on page 53.

NavIdeas describes some ideas for using navigator in the classroom. See the review by Colin Rouse on page 43.

Module area utility
by S J Research

This contains a module which will help to prevent fragmentation of the relocatable module area, which often consumes large quantities of precious memory. The files are arranged in a !Boot configuration - if you already have a boot file you will need to copy lines from the files. See the cover disc pages for more details.
