F/MUSTXT2

This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.

Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

Almost done. Now for some decent music and then a better sound using an
ENVELOPE command in line 40. That's what 40 was for.

Now I took about 5 days to decide on which tune to put in. The tune had to
be simple, with a lot of note changes and most importantly it couldn't be
subject to a copywrite, I don't fancy being sued by Paul McCartney.

I eventually hit upon that old faithful 'No Place Like Home'.

Now I was very careful selecting the notes for this tune, I won't claim to
have Richard's expertese in music but I can read a stave albeit slowly.
Why this tune came out sounding the way it did I don't really know but the
sound was quite good never the less so I have left it. Since I now have 14
DATA statements I had to change the FOR NEXT loop, easy, the upper number
is now 240.

Now the envelope. Well envelopes are a bit tricky and can take a long time
to perfect. So I had a look in an old copy of EU from 1984 in a section
called SOUNDS EXCITING.

Now having read this article can you really say that this is in any way
complicated? No of course not. I shall be expecting a flood of discs on my
hall carpet with offerings for future EUG opening screens along with that
article/letter/problem/program you have been meaning to send for so long
but couldn't find the time.
