Normal barlines

NORMAL BARLINES
These are automatically created by Sibelius
when you add bar rests. You can drag normal
barlines left and right, and copy them on top
of special barlines.
SPECIAL BARLINES
(e.g. double barlines)
� Choose from the Symbols�Barlines menu
� Position in mid-bar or in place of a normal
barline by clicking Adjust.
Special barlines can be copied, dragged and
deleted.
INVISIBLE BARLINE
(Symbols�Barlines�Invisible) This is for
concealing a normal barline at the end of a
system in order apparently to split a bar.
You can select invisible barlines by clicking
where you positioned them; when selected they
appear as a red dotted line.
Beware that the automatic bar numbering counts
each side of the invisible barline as a sep-
arate bar.
