This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

Andrew Rawnsley of R-Comp tells me that a great many of the sales of <cite>HTMLEdit</cite> are to schools who want a relatively cheap and easy way of doing multimedia. <p>HTML fits the bill well there; in fact, it's a good way of storing almost any information. You can build up your own Web site on your hard disc and read it with one of the Freeware browsers without even buying a modem. Perhaps you want to keep a diary, or your family tree, or a recipe book; not only is HTML a reasonable format for all of these but it's also portable, which means that you can easily send the information to someone else with a Mac, PC or Amiga and they'll be able to read it as well. <p>Of course there are other ways to do this; programs designed especially for the purpose of doing any of the tasks, but for an easy, cheap and portable solution, look no further than HTML. <p><a href="index.html">Back to the main article</a>. </body> </html>
