About this utility

This application gives the user a small desktop window or tool bar
which allows functions and facilities from Impression and Impression Junior
to be selected by clicking on the appropriate icon. Impression does not have
a tool bar facility at the time of writing this application but I would
expect that this will be remedied one day, until then this utility should be
off great use to those who do not want to spend time calling up menus or
memorising Function key and Ctrl key short-cuts.
How to use Impression tool bar

Double click the !IToolBar application icon in the normal way to
install it on the Icon bar. The Impression Tool bar should open
automatically. The bar can be opened to full size by clicking on the Toggle
size icon or scrolled using the scroll bar in the usual way. If the window
is closed it can be re-opened by clicking on the Icon-bar Icon. Make sure
that an impression document window has the input focus (ie. the window
borders are pale yellow) before selecting any of the tool bar icons. The
tool bar works by imitating the Ctrl key and function key short cuts
available in impression (and many other applications) so simply clicking on
an icon will perform the associated operation. They are in order from left
to right:
1) Copy/Cut to clip board (^C / ^X)
Clicking select on this icon will copy the selected text or Frame to
the clip board.
Clicking adjust will Cut the selected text or frame to the clip
board (ie. the selection is copied to the clip board then deleted).
2) Paste from the clip board (^V)
Clicking on this icon will paste the contents of the clip board
(Text/Frame) to the current document.
3) Delete
This will delete the currently selected Text/Frame (warning you
first).
4) Save
This will save the document to disc (bringing up a save box first so
that you can make sure the filename etc. is correct).
5) Scale View
This will call up the scale view dialogue box allowing you to select
a magnification.
6) Create Frame
This allows a new frame to be created, as with many of the options
move the pointer into the document window for the guide lines to
appear and to allow the mouse-drag operation to take place.
7) Alter Frame
This will call up the Alter frame dialogue box allowing you to
change the details of a frame such as its position, border and
colour.
8) Alter graphic
This will call up the Alter graphic dialogue box to allow you to
manipulate the graphic in the currently selected frame ( that's if
the currently selected frame contains a graphic).
9) Dictionary
This calls up the dictionary.
10) Left align
Selecting this will make all the currently highlighted text to
become left aligned.
11) Centre
Similar to Left align but centres the text.
12) Right Align
Similar to Left align but Right aligns the text.
13) Fully Justify
Similar to Left align but fully justifies the text.
Further Information

Since this application "emulates" the pressing of the appropriate
function keys and Ctrl keys (similar in operation to !Chars) it will also
operate other applications (eg. !Edit) that use some or all of the above key
short cuts. For example if an !Edit window has the input focus then clicking
select on the first icon on the left (copy to clip board) will copy the
currently high lighted text to the current caret position, while clicking
adjust will delete the text. Clicking on the save icon emulates the pressing
of F3, which is standard in almost all applications to call up the save box.
