This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

Dear Gus,
All of us have protected tape programs which we like to use on
a regularbasis, and then it is much more convenient to be able
to store them ondisc. I realise of course that any form of
copying is illegal, but it isunrealistic to believe that the
authors of old Electron software (orF.A.S.T.) are going to
make a fuss about copying to disc. PROVIDED IT ISSTRICTLY FOR
YOUR OWN USE!
There are many forms of protection - some of it quite
sophisticated - andyou will not find any tools to help you
overcome it!
In the early days of the Electron some programs used a
relatively simplelocking system in an effort to prevent
copying, and a number of programshave been published which
will unlock them.
One such program was written by Howard Guppy, and published in
E.U.G.issue 4. To use his program, CHAIN it from disc, then
carry out one of thetransfer techniques described. (Howard's
program is included with thisarticle)
