Examples/!Animals/fox

This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.

Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

The red fox is about 61 cm. long and 35 cm. high, and has a bushy tail (or brush) about 40 cm. long, tipped with white. It has black patches behind its ears and on the front of its legs. The fox normally lives in woods and copses making a den, known as an earth, in a hollow under a tree, or in an old rabbit warren or badger hole. Three to six cubs are born in April. The cubs learn to hunt when about a month old and leave their earth about a month later. A fox hunts mostly at night and eats rabbits, rats, mice, voles, squirrels, hedgehogs, partridges, pheasants and frogs. It is now becoming increasingly common in towns, scavenging from dustbins.*Text*29DrawHilighter dT	dT
