This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

Adding New Abbreviations To !Acronyms by Gareth Duncan ------------------------------------------------------ Adding new abbreviations is very easy. Simply select either the CaseSens or the CaseInSens options from the Options and then OpenFiles submenu to open one of the text files and then type in your new abbreviation. The Two text files are: 1) CaseInSens for abbreviations in capital letters only e.g. IIRC 2) CaseSens for abbreviations with mixed upper and lower case letters e.g. PoP The abbreviations must be entered with a return character at the end. e.g. IIRC<press return> If I Recall Correctly<press return> Now (after you've saved the text file) select Scan Files from the menu and your abbreviation will have been added. NOTE: How you enter the abbreviation into the text file will be how it will have to be entered when the program is running, spaces included.
