Overview
EUG is a magazine for users of 8-bit Acorn machines; primarily the Elec-
tron (or Elk) although often including  articles and features on the BBC 
and Master series computers. It was established in June 1991 and has now
been thriving  almost ten years.   It is  currently run  by Dave Edwards
from the  above address.  This address  also houses  The Acorn  Electron 
Haven which can supply documentation on most Electron products.
   EUG is presently published each month on disk.  The formats available
are 3.5" and 5.25" ADFS and DFS. All 80 track ONLY. DFS disks are double
sided.  CUMANA DFS (The alternative  Electron disk filing system)  disks
can be produced on request.
   EUG contributions come from readers. Contributions should be original
work or can  be work previously  published elsewhere  but adapted to im-
prove functioning.  In the latter  case,  reference must  be made to the
original source. 
   EUG welcomes contributions and these may be written articles,  games,
utilities,  demos,  graphic screens,  book or software reviews, requests
for help, advertisements, solutions  or anything else considered of int-
erest to EUG users.
   EUG occasionally  carries advertisements from  members either selling
or looking to buy Electron items. EUG cannot  check the  validity of any
advertisement.  Before buying through EUG,  please satisfy yourself that
you are getting what you want.
   Copyright exists in the  work published in EUG  and permission should 
be sought from  the editor and  ultimately the author  of any particular 
contribution before it  is duplicated for  use outside  the publication.
This includes submission to a Public Domain (PD) library but  not backup 
copies of the magazine for personal use.
   Members may contact other  members directly but all members are asked 
to send any exchanges of information to EUG so everyone can benefit.

   The current subcription fees are as follows:

       Members of the U.K. ................. `1.30 per issue/disk
       Members of the European Community ... `1.80 per issue/disk
       Members of other countries .......... `2.00 per issue/disk

Yearly  subscriptions for  twelve editions  are encouraged.  Remember to
state your preferred disk size  and format when subscribing.  Please pay 
by cheque and make it payable to "Electron User Group".
   Occasionally, submissions and back issues may be cleaned up/edited at
the discretion of the editor.
   You can order  back issues at  the above prices,  apart  from EUG #21 
which is a  special issue  on two  ADFS disks/three  DFS disks.  Surplus
monies will be assumed to be contributions to EUG funds. Please email or
telephone before placing an order to check that prices have not changed.

Getting EUG Free
IF you contribute something towards  the upcoming issue of EUG, you will
receive one EUG disk free of charge for EACH separate entity you submit.
Your original submissions disk will also be returned.  Your contribution
can be in any format, including written text.

Bugs
GREAT care is taken that the finished EUG magazine reaches you free from
disk/memory/programming errors  and incompatibilities.  If the  disk you
receive is corrupted,  please return it  within fourteen days for a free
replacement noting the error.
   A section of each  new magazine underlines any  errors experienced by
readers in previous ones.
