This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

COPYING
Always try to use Adjust to copy objects
instead of creating them from scratch. In
particular, try to copy notes and chords which
are already on the screen rather than creating
new ones.
When copying a repeated note or chord, use
Ctrl-Adjust to copy to the same pitch.
MENUS
Most of the menus have been designed so that
the most important item is at the top. A quick
way to choose the top item is just to choose
the menu name itself.
There are various keyboard 'shortcuts' for
choosing items off the menu without using the
mouse. See Keypresses in the manual.
When entering text in many styles, Menu pops
up a list of useful words. Choosing one types
it in for you.
PRINTING
� For non-PostScript printers, set up the font
cache with a reasonable amount of memory (at
least 100K).
� Use low resolution for draft copies.
� RISC OS 2 with non-PostScript printers:
set the Monochrome graphics option on the
printer driver. Avoid using the 'Sideways
on paper' option on the Print window as
printing can become very slow.
� RISC OS 3 with PostScript printers: try
doing a permanent download of the Opus fonts
(see RISC OS 3 User Guide).
