This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

INTERNET STARTER-PACK FOR ACORN RISC OS 3.1 COMPUTERS (v 1.10)

Starter Pack = Acorn spk archive file = 1.3MB approx
This is the Internet Starter-Pack configured for Demon users.
To get going, download the two files "sparkplug" and "StarterPak".
(Set for binary mode transfer if via the Internet)
*** Discs supplied by me may contain the !ArcFS application rather
than !Sparkplug, just double-click to open the archive, then drag
to your "Internet" directory to unpack ***
*** The ARCADE version will decompress with !ArcFS ***
When you have the files on disc, settype the file sparkplug
to BASIC and double-click on it. This creates !SparkPlug, which
you should then run. Drag the file "StarterPak" onto the Sparkplug
icon, which should open up a filer window with lots of goodies.
Do a "select all" then drag them out of the archive into a filer
window on your hard disc. Read the text help files to find out
how to configure it all (Look in the directory Docs & read the
Guide first)
NB. remember that after you have dragged the applications out of the
archive and onto disc that you need to either;
(1) run all the !Boot files inside all the applications, or
(2) reboot the machine before running any of the stuff as Risc OS will
be pointing to the stuff in the archive, not the new copies on the disc.
