This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

BasCompress v1.34 (and earlier?) appear to only work with RO3.1. As an interim measure, the executables for v1.24 are included for RO3.0 and RO2.x owners. This is what you must do: 1. Open a view inside !BC. (Shift double-click !BC) 2. "untick" the menu item Filer->Options->Newer 3. Copy the CONTENTS of v1_24 inside !BC There have only been 2 changes to the actual compressor since v1.24, and these are pretty minor for most registered users. The main changes have been to the wimp front end, which "spiff" it up for high-resolution modes. My advice is to update to RO3.1. Cy Booker, 26.03.1993
