This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

Archrome Update On the November cover disk we published the superb !Archrome painting application written by John Wigham. We discovered a bug in the brush editor but it was too late to do anything about it before publication. On this month's cover disk we have put an updated !RunImage program. This should replace the existing !RunImage file which is inside the !Archrome application. You will not be able to replace the one which is on the November cover disk as it is inside an archive and cannot be written to with !ArcFS. You can update any de-archived copies you have made. Here are some instructions on how to do this:- First, create a RAM disk about 150K in size and drag the !RunImage file from the December cover disk to the RAM directory viewer. It will be de-archived and saved to the RAM disk. Now insert the disk which contains the de-archived !Archrome application. Press SHIFT and while keeping it pressed, double click on the !Archrome application icon. A directory viewer will open up on the desktop and you will see the various files which make up the !Archrome application. Select the !RunImage file, press the menu button and choose Delete from the file menu. Drag the new !RunImage file from the RAM disk directory viewer to the !Archrome directory viewer. Your !Archrome disk will now be updated and debugged.
