Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

!StuntEd - submitted to Acorn Computing Liam Gretton 62 Berners Street Leicester Leics LE2 0AF StuntEd is a RISC OS compliant utility for fans of The Fourth Dimension's Stunt Racer 2000. It allows you to edit the characteristics of your saved driver files, giving you an unfair advantage over the competition. To get a quick feel for the progaram, run it and use Acorn's !Help application. The program will run happily from an archive, but won't let you save the default file if you edit it. To use, simply double-click on the !StuntEd icon, and this will shortly appear on the iconbar. At the same time, a window will open showing some of the details of the default driver. To edit your own driver files, drag them either onto the iconbar icon or into one of !StuntEd's windows. The main editor window will then open, allowing you to change your driver's attributes. In order down the scrolling window, these are: Driver's name: This is not necassarily the same as the filename. The name can be up to nine characters in length. Track details: The series, league and track which your driver is currently on. There are four tracks to a league, and four leagues to a series. Stunt Racer 2000 is only supplied with series 1, so don't bother changing the series field unless you have extra courses discs. Clicking on the 'qualified' button will automatically qualify you for the next race. If qualified, you can then also change your grid position by either using the editable field and the up/down buttons, or by clicking with select or adjust on the grid picture. Equipment: You can change your tyre-grip, engine tuning and nitro percentages by typing a number into the appropriate editable field. See the accompanying !help file for more information on what sort of figures to use. Just below these are buttons for mega-boost, scanner and sabotage. Selecting these fits the item to your car; deselecting them removes them. The usefulness of the sabotage option is debatable - there's no telling which of your opponents will be sabotaged. Finally, you can enter the amount of cash you want. Your cash amount reverts to zero after 99999cr, so don't be too greedy, or you'll lose it all after winning a race. Once you have made your changes, you can save the edited driver by clicking on the Save button in the main window. This saves the edited driver over the old one, so ensure that it is unlocked. If you decide not to use the changes, clicking on the Cancel button will reinstate the status of the last saved file. You can get the defaults back by selecting 'Default' from the menu. Also on the menu is a 'Statistics' option. Selecting this opens another window with more information about the currently loaded driver. These values aren't editable, as they don't affect your performance on the track. Happy racing!
