This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

THE ACORN USER EDUCATION RESOURCES DISC --------------------------------------- This disc contains the following archives: AngliaTV A file containing clip art from Anglia Television EuropeMaps Maps of Europe in Draw file format Posters Posters for Edit, Draw, Paint, Printers and the desktop Training Training files from iTa for various applications If you double-click on the ArcFS application, these archives can be treated exactly like normal directories, so double-clicking on an archive will open up a directory window containing the relevant resources. Do note, however, that the decompression application provided on this disc is read-only, so if you try to write to disc, you will get an error and should decompress the contents of the archive, as described below. How to decompress the archives ------------------------------ The resources on this disc are compressed using ArcFS 2 from Software 42. To decompress any archive onto another disc, do the following: 1. Double-click on the ArcFS application on this disc. 2. Double-click on the archive you which to decompress: a directory window will open containing the files. 3. Open up a directory to which you can save the decompressed files: if you have a floppy-only system, it might be convenient to use the Ram disc. 4. Drag the files to the disc, from where they can be accessed as normal.
