This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

Cycloidz This definitely has a lot of potential to be a commercial game. It's obviously really small at the moment, and looks PDish, which it badly needs to lose, but apart from that it's pretty amazing in my book. The game is far too hard at the moment - the easy level is practically impossible! I think the slippy-slidey momentum might be what makes it so hard. Cycloidz really needs a lot of power-ups, bonuses and that sort of thing. The sound effects are really cool and these can definitely stay - more of them wouldn't go amiss (milky milky more frequently!). Graphics need tidying up a lot, and different sets of scenery for every few levels is a good idea. We need a lot of levels - and some way of not having to keep going over earlier ones, like a password or save to disc or something. Lots of bonus sections and secret doors as well. Some other ideas: high score table (savable?), and a nice-demo introduction perhaps (obviously a loading screen). Choice between in-game music or sound effects (or perhaps both, if that's possible?). The clouds are nice too, can we get more layers of parallax in? There are a couple of bugs, too, for example the way that you can die, then see yourself dying as you start the next life, which is a bit silly. Also I don't think you should be able to be killed from the starting position - it's not fair! It might be worth investigating an energy system instead of lives, as well. These ideas are very basic at the moment, have a play round with ideas and things, and we'll see how things go. This is definitely a great game though!
