Rambles/!LEDCont/!Help

This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.

Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

This program controls the LED's of the parallel port expansion interface card,
(details of which can be found at Jim Fuller's site
http://www.southwest.com.au/~jfuller/)
on Acorn machines with bidirectional parallel ports...i.e. A3020/4000/5000/RiscPC.
It has not been tested on A3000 machines but could work on them along with Mike Cook's
modules from Acorn User July 1995.

It turns the LED's on and off in any combination. Doesn't sound very exciting,
which it isn't, except if you add the second of Jim Fuller's boards you
can then add stepper motors to the output and start to control the motors or robots.
If you don't have access to the expansion card or don't have the technical know how
to make one yourself you can always use Mike Cook's PortMonitor
(Acorn User July 1995) to test this software.

Thanks go to:
Mike Cook for making PortMonitor which allowed me to test LEDCont.
Richard Whincup for assistance in sprite control.
John Peachey for assistance in sprite control.
"WimpBasic" for making something that even I can use.
ECAWA for providing the enthusiasm ignition.
