This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

Alta Vista is best for searching the web - it is fast and easy to use, but
do <a
href="http://www.altavista.digital.com/av/content/help_simple.htm">read
the manual</a>! When using Alta Vista put phrases in quotes and use + to insist that items appear. Use an
asterisk to allow any ending. eg:

DejaNews is good for searching news articles and it keeps articles for a long while.<P>
Yahoo and Yell can also be used for searching the Web but they aren't as
good as Alta Vista.<P>
BT Yellow Pages is useful for finding UK businesses by name even if you don't know
the area. It can also find all businesses in a particular category and area (just leave
the company name blank and enter a category and an area).<P>
You can make this page appear when you click on Fresco, by putting the QuickaVista
file in your Internet directory and then changing the document.default line in the !Fresco.config file:<br>
