Dear Gus,
When I last spoke to you I couldn't think of the name of the other DFS
which I have, it is AMCOM.
I removed the Watford DFS and plugged in the AMCOM one and tried booting
the micro with Shift. No Joy.
The routine STAR OPT 4,3 RETURN followed by Star DOT RETURN followed by
shift break was tried with the same result.
You might find the next bit interesting. I then disconnected the twin
Watford disc drives and connected a CDC 9429 SHUGART D.Drv which I bought
from B & H Micro systems in November 86. SHIFT BREAK on came EUG. Space
bar for menu. Choose what you like it ALL WORKED didn't have to use star
routines at all. AND I had a jolly good read.
This comming Saturday I take delivery of (a) One Electron Micro in full
working order with all leads, psu, manual, a data recorder, 24 tapes which
includes a copy of mini office, a Slogger ROM box (whatever that is) and a
Seikosha GP - 100A dot matrix printer. I am looking forward with much
interest to this Saturday.
Do you think you might be able to help me if I run into any problems with
it?

THE MORE I DON'T LIKE IT. MAYBE SOMEONE WHO HAS SOME EXPERIENCE WITH
WATFORD CAN THROUGH SOME LIGHT.
