Examples/!Animals/badger

This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.

Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

The badger grows up to about 1 metre in length. Short, powerful legs and strong claws make it an expert at digging. Its favourite habitat is woodland where it borders pasture land, but it also inhabits cliffs, quarries or hedgerows. It lives in an underground burrow called a set which has ventilation shafts and many exits and may be up to 20 metres long. The badger will eat earthworms, mice, voles, frogs, snails and wasps; also windfall apples, blackberries and grass. Usually from one to five cubs are born at a time in February. The cubs live with their parents at least until autumn, and sometimes through the winter. The badger is a legally protected species.*Text*3DrawHighlighter h	h
