This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

This program, Set Demon, is intended for use by those who are having problems setting up the configuration of their copy of KA9Q. It therefore doesn't allow you to change much, because I feel that if you are after fine tuning your copy of KA9Q, you should be prepared to sit down with configuration files and a text editor. The program supports interactive help, and I would encourage you to make use of this, as it will help you when filling in entries into more than any !Help file could. There isn't really very much to the program. Clicking on the icon on the icon bar brings up a window with a number of writable icons and options. Once you have set these up according to your demon account and machine setup, you can save the required Config and AutoExec files. The files can either be saved in SetDemon or - if the filer has seen it - in KA9Q, and they can also be loaded in from either place. If a file including comments is loaded in, Set Demon will try to preserve the commented lines, although this doesn't quite work at the moment. Some lines may be duplicated, and comments at the ends of files will be lost. This won't affect whether or not KA9Q works. This is release 1 of the program. Future improvements include the ability to configure other applications in the KA9Q suite.
