This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

!RayShade Tutorial ------------------ So, you've just spent ages designing a scene using !Ray3d and you want to raytrace it - but you don't know how to. The easiest way to raytrace a scene is to simply drag the Ray3d scene file from the disc onto the !Rayshade icon on the icon bar. A normal RISC OS save box will appear, and you should save the file back to the disc. (make sure you have plenty of free disc space as these pictures can be VERY big.) Raytracing will now begin, but it can take a long time so be patient. When it has finished and the hourglass pointer has disappeared, load !MTV-Spr and drag the picture file to it's icon on the icon bar and save the sprite file to disc. Alternatively, if you have !Translator, use this instead of !MTV-Spr as it gives better results.
