  Purpose    : For tricking games ...
  =======

  Description :
  ===========
              Trickster is a program that stores cheats, passwords etc for
              all of your favourite games, it also enables the installation,
              storage and viewing of 'CHEATMOD' files.

              Loading
              -------

              To load the program double click the !Trickster icon in the
              normal way or double click a 'Trick' file. The !Trickster icon
              should then appear on the icon bar.

              If you have double clicked a 'Trick' file then then title
              window will automatically appear.

              Icon Bar
              --------

              The menu from the icon bar and all of the windows provides the
              following functions:

              If the select or adjust button on the mouse is pressed while
              the pointer is over the !Trickster icon then the title window
              is displayed.

              Title Window
              ------------

              There are two main controls on the bottom of the title window,
              one the left hand side is the 'Close' icon. This will close
              the title window. The right hand icon is the 'Open' icon. This
              will open the main window and close the title window.

              Main Window - Tools Bar
              -----------------------

              The controls on the tool bar which is situated on the side of
              the main window are very simple.

              They are as follows:

              1. This goes to the first record.

              2. This goes to the previous record.

              3. This adds a record onto the end of the file.

              4. This deletes the current record.

              5. This sorts the records in to alphabetical order.

              6. This goes to the next record.

              7. This goes to the last record.

              8. This moves to the Hacker window.

              9. This moves to the print window.

              10. This moves to the search window.

              11. This moves to the options window.

              Adding
              ------

              To add a record you must be on the last record. Then just type
              in the data for that cheat and click on the 'Add' icon. To
              edit move to the desired record, alter the information then
              click on one of the arrows, numbers 1,2,6 or 7 and make sure
              that the record changes.

              Entering/Editing Text
              ---------------------

              When you type into the window the text is put to the left of
              the caret (a little red line with frayed ends). You can move
              the caret to the next writable icon by pressing the Return,
              Enter or down arrow key. You can move up by pressing the up
              arrow key. You can also position the caret in any writable
              icon just by click on it with the mouse.

              Special Window
              --------------

              At the bottom of the main window is a special window. This
              window allows a lot of functions in a small area. If you click
              on the tools icons 8, 9, 10 or 11 the special window will
              change, this is noted by the depression of the respective icon
              on the tools bar. These special windows are explained below:

              Hacker Window
              -------------

              This window allows the manipulation of 'CHEATMOD' files.

              Storage
              ^^^^^^^

              By clicking on the 'Storage' icon a window containing hacker
              modules will appear. This is a quick way of storing your
              modules. You can copy your collection of hacker modules into
              this directory for quick reference if you wish.

              Adding Module
              ^^^^^^^^^^^^^

              To add a 'CHEATMOD' module you must drag a module file onto
              the HACKER icon (the one on the special window). This will
              cause any shaded icons to un-shade. The name of the module
              is automatically entered into the box.

              Installing Module
              ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

              To install a module firstly make sure that you have added one
              (see above). Then simply click on the 'Install Module' icon.

              Viewing Module
              ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

              Before you play any game that you are trying to hack you may
              wish to view the cheat options of that module. This is simply
              done by clicking on the 'View Module' icon. A window will
              appear showing all of the relevant information.

              Print Window
              ------------

              To use the print feature on Trickster you must firstly load
              a printer driver. Once this is done then the name of your
              printer will be displayed in a box and the 'Print' icon will
              have un-shaded. To print just click on the 'Print' icon (the
              one on the special window).

              Printing Options
              ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

              If you do not wish to print all of the data you can select
              one of the two options labelled 'Print Current' and
              'Print All'. 'Print Current' only prints the current record
              and 'Print All' prints the whole document.

              Searching
              ---------

              To use the search option you must have at least one record in
              the database. To search for a record just type in the name of
              a record and press the 'Search' icon (the one on the special
              window). You can repeatedly search using the same field by
              clicking on the 'Search' icon again.

              Options Window
              --------------

              Statistics
              ^^^^^^^^^^

              The red bar shows the current record in relation to all of the
              others. Also shown is the current and total amount of records
              currently stored in Trickster.

              Print Options
              ^^^^^^^^^^^^^

              These options allow you to select the amount of data that is
              printed out. One must always be selected.

              Saving
              ------

              To save a file drag the save icon onto a filer window, or you
              can just click on the 'Ok' button.
