About This Application
����������������������
This application is designed to work in conjunction with RISC OS 3's
PinBoard utility. It will as the name suggests change the back drop of the
desktop. It will automatically, with a preset delay, cycle through a
directory of sprites, displaying them as a "Tiled","Scaled" or "Centred"
backdops on the Pinboard.
The sprites used can be modified by editing them in !Paint, they can
also be deleted and new ones can be added. The sprites are kept in the
directories "Tile","Scale" and "Centre" respectivly which are located
inside the !BDchanger directory. Each sprite file should have only one
sprite in it. The sprites used for the backdrops are displayed in
alphabetical order (as seen in the filer window).
The delay between the updating of the backdrop is set in the "Config"
file inside the "!BDChanger" directory. The first line of the file should be
a numerical value for the delay in centiseconds (100 centiseconds = 1
second).
The backdrops can also be cycled through when the application is
installed on the icon bar by clicking on it's icon.
Important information

This application needs to load the new sprite file when updating the back
drop so to avoid constant error messages to re-insert the disc it is
recommended that it is only run from RAM disc or a hard disc.
Only sprite files should be kept in the "Tile","Scale" & "Centre"
directories.
Any number of sprite files from zero to seventy can be kept in each
directory apart from the "Tile" directory where a minimum of one sprite file
must be kept at all times.
If a value of 0 is used in the "Config" file then the backdrops are not
cycled through and can be changed by clicking on the application icon on the
icon bar.
If No value is found in the "Config" file then the default value of 100
Seconds is used.
Make sure the delay value in the "Config" file is suitably large enough so the computer does not "freeze-up" with excessive disk accessing and sprite loading.
