This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

Problems with Edit Plus and RiscOS 2
------------------------------------
There was a 'bug' in the published version of Edit Plus which prevented
the program from being used properly with RiscOS 2. This caused the
program to crash when the 'Page Layout' window was opened.
To correct this here are amended program code and Template files. To use
them carry out the following steps.
1. De-arc the original program to another disc because you will not be
able to copy the new files into the archive. The easiest way to do
this if you only have a single drive is to de-arc it to a RAMdisc
first as this saves a lot of disc swapping.
2. Copy the new 'Edit+' and 'Templates' files to the same disc.
3. Open the !Edit+ application directory by holding down SHIFT and
double-clicking on the !Edit+ application icon.
4. Copy the new 'Edit+' and 'Templates' files into the !Edit+
application directory. These will replace the original files.
If you have RiscOS 3 the original program will work without alteration
but it is suggested that you update it to the new version to ensure
RiscOS 2 compatibility. If you do so it is important to delete any old
'layout' file in the application directory before you RUN Edit Plus with
the new files as the format of the new layout file is slightly different
and could cause the program to crash.
