RuntheRISC/!IIC_Mon/!Help

This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.

Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

                            0706 216701

This application allows you to monitor the signals on the
IIC data bus for the:-
                     PCF8591 A/D and D/A chip
                     PCF8574 or PCF8574A Digital I/O chip

Also you can set the output bits and the D/A output
as well as setting the A/D mode

If readings show XXXXXXXX then there is no device (chip) responding
at the address set up by the window.
Note there will also be no slider thumb or meter needle.

For the digital lines to be an input they must first be set to
a logic 1 (default) and then the input device pulls them down.
Do not set them at a zero and use a current source for the input.
