!Sibelius7/!Help/Beams
This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

CONTENTS Normal use Beam keys See manual for: adjusting beam angles; beams between keyboard staves; accelerando beams NORMAL USE By default, Sibelius beams together all successive notes a quaver and shorter. It uses a complex rule to determine the beam position and angle, so you don't need to be able to drag beams around. BEAM KEYS (F1 with Shift and Ctrl) These keys adjust how notes are beamed. You can also use them to put beams over barlines and rests. The keys operate on the selected note, grace- note or rest: F1 beams to the next note or rest and detaches any beams from the previous note or rest Shift-F1 beams to the notes or rests on either side Ctrl-F1 separates the note or rest from its neighbours Ctrl-Shift-F1 links together two beamed groups of notes with a single 'primary' beam; this is used to subdivide large groups of short notes. $
