This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

- With reference to the directory !RISCutils.Non_User : As the name suggests, the contents of this directory are not for use by the user. *Do not alter any of it's contents*, doing so may result in RISCutils not functioning correctly. - With reference to the directory !RISCutils.User_Area : Everything in this directory is for the use of the user - Hold down Shift while Double-Clicking on RISCutils's icon to get to this directory. - The Directory !RISCutils.User_area.Demo's : Contains a number of simple demonstrations of most of RISCutils's components. Often it can be easier to understand how to use one of the components, if you open up (SHIFT-double-click) it's relavent Demonstration files, Run the files, and then study it's contents to see how the result of running the file was acheived. - The Directory !RISCutils.User_Area.Files : Contains 4 Obey files. The files 'Backdrops' and 'NoBackdrop' are specifically relavent to the Backdrop component, see the Help File 'Backdrop' for more detail. The file 'Commands' is specifically relavent to the Select_Command_Random and Select_Command_Cycle component(s), see the Help File 'Sel-Comm' for more detail. The file 'Remove' is not related to any one component.When run this file will de-activate *all* of RISCutils's components and 'Remove' all evidence of it ever being run beforehand. I am not exactly sure of what use this could be, but I'm sure someone might find it useful. - The Directory !RISCutils.User_Area.Programs : Contains 2 programs. One is the WSYfont program, for more detail see the Help File 'WSYfont. And the other program is one called 'Anti-DOS' (I'm quite happy for you to take that literally if you want!), which is not a component in itself, but is simply a useful program that will re-name all of RISCutils's files and directories to their correct names, enabling a copy of RISCutils that has at one point been stored on a DOS disc to function again. Simply run it from either it's normal location and it will do the rest. Or if you find it confusing with all of RISCutils's directories re-named from being on the DOS disc, put a copy of this program in the same directory as RISCutils when on the DOS disc, and copy it to the same directory as RISCutils when it has been moved. The *extra* copy can be deleted after use.
