This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

See is yet �1another�0 hypertext system for help files. Why?
In my opinion the ideal is a linked system of HTML documents.
The trouble is that at the moment the available web browsers
for Risc OS are a bit slow at scrolling text, and using them
is like cracking a nut with a sledgehammer. So until Risc OS
has a fast web browser in ROM, this is something small quick
and simple. It displays fast scrolling, active text, in colour.
It has been tested with VGA type modes only.
I describe the text displayed by !See as active because you can
embed commands in it, which are activated by clicking on them.
Commands must start with an asterisk (*) and comprise a complete
single colour segment of a line, i.e. it must contain no changes
of colour (either of fore- or back-ground), and be bounded either
by the start or end of the line or by colour boundaries. Text in
commands must be in the system font. Clicking with Select will
execute the command, typically to open another See file, and close
the current See window. Clicking with Adjust will leave the current
window open.
